Dr. Mustafa Khattab

Dr. Mustafa Khattab is a distinguished authority in Quranic interpretation, celebrated for his significant contributions to Islamic scholarship. He holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Islamic Studies in English with honors from Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Languages & Translation. Dr. Khattab has lectured at Clemson University (OLLI Program, 2009-2010) and has served as a Lecturer at Al-Azhar University for over a decade, beginning in 2003. His roles as Muslim Chaplain at Brock University (2014-2016) and the University of Toronto in Mississauga (2019-2021) further underscore his commitment to community engagement.

A member of the Canadian Council of Imams and a Fulbright Interfaith Scholar, Dr. Khattab has been an Imam in both the U.S.A. and Canada since 2007. He is the author of several acclaimed works, including The Clear Quran (2016), The Clear Quran Tafsir for Kids (4 volumes, 2020), The Clear Quran Dictionary (2021), Shukran (an illustrated story for children, 2020), The Clear Quran Story Based Tafsir (2023), and The Clear Sirah for Kids (2024). His other notable publications include The Nation of Islam (2011) and Outfoxing Fox News (2017), along with contributions to the Encyclopedia of Muslim American History (2010).

Having memorized the entire Quran in Arabic at a young age, Dr. Khattab was also part of the pioneering team that translated the Ramadan night prayers (Tarawîh) live from the Sacred Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah from 2002 to 2005. His unwavering dedication to promoting a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings continues to make a lasting impact on diverse audiences worldwide.

Mohammed Hameed Siddiqui

Mohammad Hameed Siddiqui is a distinguished scholar whose multidisciplinary research spans various branches of science and the humanities, revealing the Quran’s profound insights into the physical universe, social and ethical spheres, and prophetic narratives. His research includes astrophysics, autophagy, cosmology, dermatoglyphics, embryology, genetics, and geology.

Siddiqui also examines the linguistic coherence of the Quran, its unaltered text, predictions about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in previous holy books, the reality of Jinn (SuperNatural Spirit), and space-time relativity.

He earned Master’s degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Business Management from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from IIT Varanasi, India.

Siddiqui has been honored with a Certificate of Good Conduct and Merit from the President of India and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in Science and Engineering.

Professor Sheik Muhammad Isa Garcia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Embracing Islam at the age of 18, he pursued rigorous academic and religious studies, earning a degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Theology from Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Garcia is a renowned writer and translator, celebrated for his substantial contributions to Islamic literature. His influential work, Introduction to Islam, offers a thorough guide for non-Muslims seeking to understand the faith. His Spanish translation of the Holy Quran, El Corán, is acclaimed for its depth and accuracy, surpassing previous translations.

Throughout his career, Sheik Isa Garcia has been a distinguished speaker at numerous forums across Europe, Latin America, and the USA. He has held leadership roles as the director of the Spanish department at prestigious institutions such as the International Islamic Publishing House (IIPH) and Darussalam Publishers. His expertise extends to media, where he has produced numerous television programs for the Islamic Channel of Spain and Córdoba International TV.

In addition to his scholarly achievements, Garcia has obtained certifications in mediation for conflict resolution and restorative justice in the United States. He is currently serving as an Outreach Specialist for iERA in Colombia, where he continues to advance the understanding and practice of Islam.

Dr. Musharraf Hussain

Dr. Musharraf Hussain, originally from Pakistan, moved to Halifax, England in 1966. With a foundational education in Quran memorization, Tajweed, and basic Arabic, he pursued higher education in Biochemistry at Aston University, culminating in a Science doctorate. After a successful career as a scientist, he shifted his focus to serving the Muslim community in 1990.

Dr. Hussain enriched his understanding of Islamic studies through his time at a seminary in Pakistan and at Al-Azhar University, in Egypt. In 1995, he co-founded Jamia Al Karam, a Muslim boarding school in Retford, where he served as head teacher for three years. His leadership continued at the Karimia Institute, which he directed, overseeing around 20 impactful community projects.

A notable moment in his career was his involvement in the 2004 mission to secure the release of British hostage Ken Bigley in Iraq. This gesture underscored the solidarity of British Muslims. Dr. Hussain’s significant contributions have been widely recognized and celebrated. Earning an Honorary Doctorate from Staffordshire University in 2005 and an OBE in 2009 for his work in community relations. In 2019, The Muslim News awarded him the “Iman wa Amal” Special Award for his distinguished translation of the Quran.

Among his significant achievements, founding Nottingham Islamia School, transforming a derelict factory into a vibrant community center, and launching a Muslim radio station in Nottingham. His leadership extends nationally through roles with the Association of Muslim Schools and the Christian Muslim Forum.

Dr. Hussain’s translation of the Quran, The Majestic Quran, received official approval in 2017. He believes that the Quran’s teachings are instrumental in nurturing personal character and fostering a community grounded in kindness, justice, and mutual understanding.

Ahmad Zaki Hammad

Ahmad Zaki Hammad is a distinguished Islamic scholar, translator, and educator, celebrated for his impactful English translation of the Quran, The Gracious Quran. His translation is renowned for presenting the Quran’s spiritual and linguistic depth in a manner that is both clear and accessible to modern readers.

Hammad’s academic journey began at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Islamic Studies. This prestigious institution provided him with extensive training in classical Arabic and Islamic theology, forming a strong foundation for his translation and scholarly work.

Beyond his translation efforts, Hammad has made substantial contributions to the Quranic studies and Islamic jurisprudence through his research and publications. His scholarship includes detailed analyses and interpretations of Quranic verses and Islamic texts. He has also served as an instructor and lecturer at various Islamic institutions, where he has taught courses in Quranic studies, Islamic history, and Arabic language.

Hammad’s commitment extends to community and interfaith engagement, where he has actively participated in dialogues to foster mutual understanding among diverse religious and cultural groups. His numerous articles and lectures on Islamic theology further reflect his dedication to advancing the study and interpretation of Islamic texts.
